During last two years I have been combining freelance work with study. Of course, it means, that sometimes I am completely overloaded not only with writing my mla term paper or essays writing , as the majority of my group mates. Still, I have an opportunity to earn some money for trips and see the world.

Last summer my childhood dream came true and I went to Greece. At last I saw Tiryns, wonderful place which I had always wanted to see. One of the first associations connected with this ruined city is the name of Heracles. Some sources even call Tiryns his home land, as it often happens with myths which always present several points of view to the same fact.

Tiryns  is an ancient city in Argolis on the peninsula Peloponnese. People live there since the late Stone Age. Achaeans reigned there in the beginning of the second millennium. The city is more ancient than even Mycenae which later bent it to its will. Tiryns flourishing was in 16-13 centuries when a big royal palace decorated with frescos was built on the acropolis. Reinforced by towers walls of Tiryns sometimes reached 10 meters of thickness and had built-in storage rooms for weapon, armor, etc. A subway led from the stronghold   to a spring.

Among Tiryns lords Diomed is well known; he was one of heroes, who came to Troy in order to bring back Helen of Troy and Sparta to her husband, Menelaus.
